Worm Grunting एक ऐसी तकनीक है जो पहली बार सुनने पर किसी जादू जैसी लगती है, लेकिन असल में यह प्राकृतिक विज्ञान पर आधारित है। इसे Worm Charming या Worm Fiddling भी कहा जाता है। आइए जानते हैं इसके पीछे का पूरा वैज्ञानिक कारण।
Worm Grunting क्या है?
Worm Grunting एक पुरानी तकनीक है, जिसमें लोग लकड़ी और धातु की मदद से मिट्टी में कंपन पैदा करते हैं। यह कंपन सुनने में धीमी आवाज़ देता है, लेकिन ज़मीन के अंदर यह earthworms को यह ऐसी आवाज बतलाता है जैसे जमीन पर बारिश होना सुरू हो गई हो जिससे केचुए मिट्टी के उपर आ जाते है क्युकी बारिश मे उन्हे कम रेंगना पड़ता है
इसके पीछे का विज्ञान:Worm Grunting
वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार जब केंचुए को जमीन के अंदर कंपन या वाइब्रेशन महसूस होती है, तो वह उसे साँप या मोल (mole) के आने का संकेत मानता है। अपनी सुरक्षा के लिए वह तुरंत ऊपर की ओर भागता है, ताकि बाहर आकर खतरे से बच सके।
यानी इंसान उस डर का फायदा उठाकर केंचुओं को ऊपर बुला लेता है।
कैसे करते हैं Worm Grunting:
- एक लकड़ी की छड़ी (stake) मिट्टी में गाड़ दी जाती है।
- दूसरी लकड़ी या लोहे की रॉड को उस पर रगड़ा जाता है।
- इससे एक खास प्रकार की ध्वनि और कंपन पैदा होती है।
- कुछ ही मिनटों में केंचुए ज़मीन से बाहर निकल आते हैं।
यह तरीका सबसे ज़्यादा फ्लोरिडा (Florida) के Apalachicola क्षेत्र में प्रसिद्ध है, जहाँ इसे परंपरा के रूप में अपनाया गया है।
प्रकृति का कमाल:
ये केंचुए ज़मीन के अंदर मिट्टी को उपजाऊ बनाने में मदद करते हैं। लेकिन यह तकनीक दिखाती है कि प्रकृति के जीव कितनी सूक्ष्म तरंगों को महसूस कर सकते हैं।

Worm Grunting सिर्फ एक ट्रिक नहीं, बल्कि यह दिखाता है कि विज्ञान और प्रकृति कितने गहराई से जुड़े हुए हैं।
